Description

A spicy treat just as good as the Spicy Onions you get from the takeaway

Ingredients
  • 1 large Onion
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp mint sauce
  • 1 tsp mango chutney
  • 2 tbsp tomato ketchup (to taste and for required consistency
  • 1/4 tsp red food colouring (optional)
Instructions

    Roughly dice the onion and then add all ingredients into a bowl and mix well.

    Add extra tomato ketchup to achieve your desired taste and consistency
Note

The red food colouring is completely optional and does not affect the taste. It's only purpose is to give that vibrant red colouring that we are used to seeing in the takeaway. I usually don't bother with it, as can be seen in the photo.
